Baler of the month – August – RWM 500

Baler of the month – August – RWM 500

In the latest instalment of our regular ‘baler of the month’ feature, we ask Jonathan Oldfield – Riverside’s MD – to look at the key features and benefits of the RWM500 mill size baler…

Describe this machine in one sentence:

A powerful mill size press which produces large bales that maximise revenue yield, load capacities and transport efficiencies.

What type of organisations use it?

It’s great for anyone handling a large volume of packaging ‘waste’ and is popular with industrial waste contractors and recyclers, however, it is also used by warehouses, manufacturers, warehouses, distribution outlets, prisons and hospitals, to name a few.

What materials can this waste baler handle?

The RWM 500 is typically used as a cardboard or plastic baler. It isn’t just a robust machine in terms of capacity, as it can also handle bulky recyclables with ease.

What bale weights can it achieve?

Large bales of up to 550kg.

And the bale dimensions?

1200 x 1500 x 760mm

What consumables are required to produce bales with this machine?

Overall we’d recommend baling wire – the strongest method for securing mill size bales – but clients can also use baler tape which is a lower cost alternative. Both of these are in stock, available in various quantities via our secure online shop, and are competitively priced.

Is a warranty included?

Yes, a 12 month full parts and labour warranty is included as standard, and optional service and maintenance packages are also available.

Describe this machine in 3 words:

Robust and revenue-generating (can I have that?!)
